Dawn Cole

Her work explores themes of recollection, memory and memorial through the use of both personal archives and national collections. Working primarily in print, she combines traditional and contemporary techniques, carefully selecting each process and material to support the ideas behind her work.

Cole has exhibited nationally and internationally, and her work is held in collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum, Canterbury Cathedral and Scarborough Museums.

Through meticulous research and powerful storytelling, she transforms overlooked objects and archival fragments into works that reveal the extraordinary within the everyday.
